Light’s Romance

INTRODUCTION

The Kingdom of Therias was no longer safe. Chaos will start very soon. It was a prediction. Although the King of Therias doubted about that, for her daughter and the Therias people’s sake, he still had to believe it and took precaution. The prediction said Therias would be conquered by darkness. But, there is a light, a very dim light. If the princess discovers it, it can save the Kingdom of Therias. The prediction might not be true. But with the existence of the golden, shinning feather, they have to admit that the prediction is true. The feather, the dim light discovered by the princess will lead the princess to the light source. It’s the LIGHT PRINCE.



CHAPTER 1 ~ MISSION

      “ But Daddy! I-WANT-TO-GO-THERE-ALL-ALONE!!!” the princess shouted until the whole castle nearly collapsed.
   
      “ You can’t do that, dear. There will be perils anywhere anytime,” said King Claudius softly.

      “Enemies will easily notice me if those millions of armies escorting me! Father, you don’t have to worry that much. I’ll be just fine. With this staff, *Latona, I can protect myself.” Princess Phyria never wants to draw attention. She loves to live as a usual people, not a vain and love-to-domineer princess living in an extravagant life.

      “ Oh Phyria…” King Claudius did not know how to answer his beloved daughter.

      “Well, well. How about letting me escort the princess?” Suddenly a voice of a guy broke the silence. The King startled a little. Who the hell is this guy and more importantly, how did he pass through the guards? “ It won’t draw much attention,” he continued. Just when His Majesty started to shout ‘guards!’ there were already two to three troops of soldiers chasing far behind him. “ Opps, not this time…I mean.”

     “ Capture him!” Ordered the King.

     “ I warn, do not ever dare to come near me,” said the guy with a deep calm voice. Those armies paused their moves.

     “ Your Majesty. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Val Zeus,” he bowed and continued. “ I’m not your enemy but I can destroy all of your armies within a few second. Believe me Your Majesty, the main enemy can do that also.”

     “ Ha, liar! So, you know who is the MAIN enemy? Huh? Do not pretend to be very smart! You can try to ‘destroy’ my mighty armies within 1 minute.” The King laughed. The princess stared at him. What was the feeling? He showed no attractive feature at all!

     “ I don’t want to kill them. They are not my enemy yet,” he refused.

     “ LIAR!!! You are just a coward! Do you think you can kidnap my daughter using this stupid trick? Soldiers, capture him! Show him the power of the Mighty Therias Knight! No mercy for him!” King Claudius was in great anger. Princess Phyria just stared at the guy silently.

     “ You shall be decapitated. You intruded into this castle and you make fun of me.” Val did not move. But Princess Phyria saw him murmured something under his breathe.

     “ Those who attack me are my enemies and my enemies shall DIE!!” Yes, he said the first ten words with deep cool voice but not the last two words. The soldiers who tried to catch him died instantly. The King shivered. He knew that guy must be a magic user. He is powerful and dangerous. Should he trust him?

     Val untied his necklace, which look like a travel clock and cast a spell on it. Then, he gave it to the King.

     “ No, don’t kill me. I saw you cast a spell on it…no…don’t do something foolish…DON’T!!!” Said the King with a shivered voice.

     “No, Your Highness. This is a time spell. Trust me. I cast it on myself. I limit the time to one year. If I do not come back with Princess Phyria within the limited time, I shall die under the spell. You can see the time here.” He showed it to the King.

     “…I don’t know why. But I think I will trust you.” The King looked into Val’s golden eyes. Perhaps, he may bring hopes to the land of Therias. Then, he looked at Princess Phyria. She did not say anything, which means she accepted Val as her escort.

     The King took the clock and said *vale to them.
